Internship - Houston Record Label SDR
To
apply for internship at our independent record label you must submit a
sample of your work in writing for review by our staff. To
get started follow the five simple steps below. Interviews will be in person and
by phone and will last about an hour or so. If you

1) 6 Original Photos - We require you to
submit six color photos which you have taken yourself. You can take pictures of
anything you want as long as you feel its a good representation of your ability
to take a decent photo. You can use any subject matter as long as its legal of
course.
2) Write a 700 word review of your favorite
local club.
3) Write a 700 word review of your favorite
local band.
4) Write a short (one page) summary of what
you hope to get out of an internship with our label.
5) Send your submission to 3452 Palmer Hwy PMB
#308 Texas City, TX 77590. No online submissions please due to mailbox
restrictions. Allow 2-6 weeks for reply. Please do not send your package
by registered mail due to mail restrictions. Address all entries attention SDR

Interns will learn how to promote bands, interview musicians and other
celebrities, prepare press releases, and will get experience in covering the
music business and the local music scene. They will have input in the Punk Brady
Style section of our website and will be included in all band events, etc. They
will be credited for photos and articles they submit allowing them to develop a
following in the local music scene and develop a resume for future work. The
position may lead to a permanent position with SDR although we make no guarantee
that you will be hired. The position is open for submission to all applicants
over the age of eighteen and who love rock music and the Houston music scene.
